A Journey of Faith, Friendship, and Discovery

At Gilead Congregational Church, we invite all young people in Grade 9 and above to take part in our Confirmation program – a meaningful journey designed to help youth explore their faith, grow spiritually, and become more connected to our church community.

Each participant is paired with a mentor, a trusted adult from our congregation who is committed to walking alongside them throughout the experience. Together, they’ll take part in a series of faith-building activities, both at Gilead and out in the local community.

The program includes:

• One-on-one mentor sessions
• Regular group gatherings
• Interactive field trips
• Personal reflection through a “faith journey” letter

This process encourages thoughtful conversations, deep questions, and spiritual growth in a supportive and engaging environment. At the conclusion of the program, participants may choose to be confirmed as full members of Gilead Congregational Church, typically during our Pentecost Sunday service in late May.
