Every other year, a week long mission trip for adults and youth ages 16 and up is planned. In April of 2013, a team of 22 traveled to serve the community of Joplin, Missouri to do disaster recovery work following the devastating tornado that hit there in May of 2011. In 2009, a group went to New Orleans to continue to assist with the recovery efforts there following Hurricane Katrina. In 2015 a crew traveled to Appalachia in West Virginia and worked with Habitat for Humanity to repair homes.
In 2017 (April 9th - 15th), a team traveled to rural Central Appalachia to help with home construction and critical home repairs for families in crisis. Members of our 2017 Gilead Mission Trip invite you to view a short video depicting their week while serving on the Appalachia Project.
