March 9                                                                                                                           Romans 12: 1-12

Life is a series of events both good and difficult depending on one’s interpretation and attitude.

In my own experience, God has always been in my life, but more recently He has become the first and most important guide to my daily living.

As we age, it becomes evident that the “things” God allows us to use, while in this lifetime, take a back seat to the kindnesses and good deeds we should be showing to all others.  The operative word is “all”- not just our family members and friends, not church members or people in our book group, etc., but all those with whom we come in contact, whose lives we can enrich in some way.

We are all one under God’s care. What we do to one another affects ALL of us in a positive or negative way.

So…take some time to think before you pass on that little piece of gossip, a hurtful story, an unkind remark, or before excluding someone from your circle of friends.

Take time to think, “Is this act or remark going to improve my life or someone else’s?”

Let us use the gifts God gave each of us to make our world a better place and pray each day for God to guide our course in life.  If we keep God first, that’s a winning combination.
