March 3                                                                                Genesis 49: 1-28

 

 

This passage describes a dying Jacob as he called his sons together.  First, he told them what their destiny was based upon their past actions.  Second, he blessed them all.

 

I trust every dying parent would want to hold their children accountable for their actions, and then bless each one of them with a suitable blessing.

 

So should we go forth being accountable based on our actions in the world and also to our parent(s).
