March 23, Easter
Sunday Romans 6: 3-11;
Mathew 28: 1-10
We were baptized, as was he
Into the faith that leads to life
eternally
He was raised from the dead to save us all
So we too could walk down a new life hall
He died on the cross to save our sin
When sin is destroyed, it’s a new chance
to begin
He died once, regret gone from within
Consider yourself alive to God, and dead
to sin
Two Mary’s were walking one day
Past the tomb where they thought Jesus lay
An angel came down with a few words to say
Just a few and then he’d be on his way
Do not be afraid, for I come with good
word
He has risen from the dead like a baby
bird
Go tell the disciples and they will see
He’s waiting for them in
The girls gave a shout of joy
For when they went to look they did not
see the boy
They knew what the angel said must be true
So they did exactly what he told them to
do
On the way they saw quite a sight
To hold the tears back was a fight
In front of them stood their beloved
friend
Jesus Christ said to go, to meet his
brothers at the end
The girls worshiped him from his head to
his feet
He was back; God would not let him accept
defeat.
