Garden Swap We invite people who have gardens to bring in and share the bounty from their gardens. Here's how it works -- on Sunday morning bring in the fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers that you have in excess from your garden and place them on the designated table. Members and friends of the Gilead Church who don't have gardens, or who don't have those particular items in their gardens, will be invited to take what they like. Any leftovers will then be taken and given to Hebron Interfaith Human Services. If you have any questions, please speak with Paul Miller.

Let’s Talk About Race:
Let’s Talk About Race: You are invited on Saturday, August 23rd at 10:00 a.m. to tour the remarkable exhibit, RACE at the Pequot Museum in Ledyard. Following the tour at 11:00 a.m., there will a sacred conversation on race in the museum’s Fleet Room. The RACE project highlights three primary themes: The science of human variation and where current scientific understanding is inconsistent with popular notions of race. The history of the idea of race, with an emphasis on the role of science in shaping the concept of race. The contemporary experience of race and racism in the United States, and the often-invisible ways race and racism have infiltrated laws, customs, and institutions. The cost to attend this event is $10.00 which is paid upon entry to the museum. You are also welcome to visit any exhibit in the museum following the event. To register, please contact Rev. Dunlap at revfcc@yahoo.com or at 860-889-9520.
