All youth in 7th grade and higher, as well as their friends, are invited to be a part of The Gilead Congregational Church Youth Group which seeks to "provide the youth of the church and community with regular opportunities to participate in Christian service and fellowship". The Youth Group is a large and very active group who meet the second Sunday of every month.

The youth organize many fellowship activities which are often open to the entire congregation. Some of those include ski trips, tubing down the Farmington River, laser tag, and sledding.

They also participate in many areas of service. They prepare meals and serve at the Willimantic Soup Kitchen, provide company to residents of the Colchester Senior Center the second Tuesday of every month, help with Hebron Interfaith Human Services projects, as well as go on a Mission trip each year. Past mission trips include a Phillie, New York City, Cambridge, and Washington DC.
