The Gilead Gripers (Rich Miller, Ken and Amy Weiss raised $450 to ride in the 12th Annual Steeple Chase Bike Tour Fundraiser on Saturday, August 16th. The money goes to two area nonprofit agencies that help people when they need it most. The Windham Area Interfaith Ministry, comprised of 37 faith communities, provides fuel assistance, clothing and furniture to area needy families. And, Perception Programs, Inc. offers substance abuse treatment, transition services for offenders, and supportive housing for people living with AIDS.
